Anyone with Vette seats

I'm looking into doing a leather or leather-like kit on mine and was wondering just how you take them apart? Nosaint,I know you've taken yours apart so if you or anyone can let me know any tips or hints I'd appreciate it.

Have you found a place that makes cloths covers? I hear ya on leather and summer. I can't find any cloths. Even the guys on the Vette forums can't. Seems only vinyl and leather are avail.

I guess since the majority of C4 vettes came with leather that's why you don't see many cloth seats. Mine are cloth and I haven't found any ready to install cloth covers either. I've been priced at $350 per seat to have a new set of cloth covers made which is why I'm looking into the leatherlike kits. Anyone know how to get the seatback cushion off the shell?

Check ebay. That's where I got mine. $280 for the pair in black cloth. I'm just looking to dress up the interior with the leatherlike stuff though the cloth is still in great shape. I just saw a set on ebay from an 85 that needed recovering for less than $100.

I'll second that. I spent some time in the driver's seat of one and was blown away at how nice the seat was. Car had a very comfortable driving position and layout as well. How hard would it be to modify GM tracks to work with it though?

depends on your knowledge of working with your hands. shouldn't be any harder then adapting aftermarket seats and using adaptations of gm sliders.

i would like to know the price on them though as i think they are really sharp. ( however it definately depends on the price too!)
