Seatbelt trim for the headliner... how to change?!

Anyone know how to take out and/or put in the seatbelt trim that attaches to the ceiling (to hold the headliner up)?? I have new ones coming and am not sure how to get these off the actual belts.

The only way to remove those pieces from the seatbelts is either cut the seatbelt, or cut or break the piece. I am wording it this way because based on what you wrote, you plan to replace the trim and not the belts. Correct? If you plan to take the trim off the seatbelt assembly at the headliner so you can replace the seatbelts, there are two little tabs at the front of the trim piece. Push up on the headliner and use a small pick to pop the trim piece off the seatbelt assembly. Be careful because the tabs break easy.

Hey Bob! Do you know where I can find replacements for that trim?

p.s. the power windows/doors/release work great!

Hawks was carrying them at one point in different colors, they are $16.00 each. Check his site out. Glad to hear about the windows, doors and hatch. Good job.

Yup. The new ones come with slits perpindicular to the slot the the belt actually sits in. You have to break the old ones off...I used some tin snips to get my old ones off. You will see the way they snap on when you get the old ones off.
