Switch-a-roo?
Switch-a-roo?
Quik question,
I have an 86' Camaro and a 91' Formula Firebird, would switching
the dash be a direct replacement? Currently, my camaro has carpet over the dash due to cracks from sun beatings, just to cover it for appearance purposes. The dash in my firebird is immaculate. Just wondering if they could be switched, hassle free.
Thanks for any input!DUECE

The whole dash or just the dash pad? The holes for the dash pad might line up but it won't fit right. The whole dash assembly would probably fit but there most likely will be some wiring issues and you would have to put the appropriate center console in.

If the holes line up, why wouldn't it fit right?
I just don't wanna take the two off and find out I did it for nothing, unless I was sure it would work. Any other thoughts.
BTW Thanks 3gc.DUECE

One thing that comes to mind immediately is that the firebird dosn't have the two center dash vents while the camaro does and the camaro dash pad has a curve in it for that. Removing dash pads isn't hard. It would take at most an hour to swap them, then swap them back.
