I seem to have no trouble at all finding new seat covers to redo my worn seats. But I can't find any replacement padding.

I've redone a C4's seats and it was so easy to find new padding, I'm just floored that I can't find new padding for my 3rd gen Camaro.

Has anyone rebuilt a set of 3rd gen seats? Is a padding set available anywhere? If I must, how do I go about making the padding myself?

Maybe by some used seats with good foam and use that. I have not seen any new foams available.

 

Yeah, I've been on the look out for some good ones. But mine aren't really too bad, 92 with 70k, and I doubt I'll find many better. I just really wanted to get some new foam.

Guess I'll be looking into making some bulk padding work. Anyone have any ideas? I know what they have at fabric stores around here and I was wanting more of a foam than a stuffing. I mean, they aren't sofas right?

 

Well I finally had a bit of luck finding some sites that have what I was looking for. I figured I'd share what I found with everyone, just in case anyone wanted to know.

I found it by looking for mattress pads. Go figure, 5 hours coming up with nothing and it finally hits me. Now if I can just find a way to find companies that carry velour and suede not just vinyl and leather. I guess there aren't alot of cloth lovers out there in the aftermarket but here in Texas I consider it a neccesity, not to mention the superior sound dampening qualities of cloth compared to vinyl and leather. Any help is much appreciated. I'll make sure and post up some pic whenever I get around to the project this summer some time.
