T-top weather stripping

For those that need new weather stripping and don't feel like waiting until GM gets it in stock again, Classic Industries has the GM kit still in stock. I ordered mine monday and it got shipped out yesterday. It does come out to about $100 more then what GMPartsDirect charges but I needed it badly because I want to drive my car again but can't without the t-top seals. I tried Thirdgen Resource, who didn't tell me that they were out of stock after i ordered it, waited over a week and called them, then they said "oh yeah we won't be getting them in stock for about a month". Hawks didn't have it, but said they should be getting it in within the week, i don't see how if GM was out of stock though. 1AAuto didn't have it, also said they should be getting it in within a week or so, DR Classics didn't have it and i think there was one other company I tried that didn't have it either. Just figured I'd let everyone know.

I didn't check with them but i don't see the kit on their website, just the two peices that go on the car itself, $115 for one side and $78 for the other.

According to second-hand info, Soffseal makes pretty good replacement weatherstripping for our cars. Personally, I bought the GM weatherstripping a few months ago just to have it available when I'm ready to put it on. Sounds like it's a good thing I did!

I can't speak for their t-top seals (maybe they are better quality) but, SoffSeal's actual door w'strip sucks __s. It's hard, to big and just has washers set in the molded ends, nothing else (oem is molded around a large plastic reinforcement... thingy).
If at all possible, buy Oem while you. You know it lasts at least this long and you know it fits.
Another source for Oem parts that isn't gmpartsdirect is www.newgmparts.com or, just go to www.parts.com and pick the GM distributor you wish to buy from.
Just my opinion though....
