Re: Red shifter indicator misaligned.

Take the shifter **** off and remove the shifter plate. You should be able to get at the indicator from there. I imagine one of the little sliders just got stuck.

Hey all, I just noticed mine is gone on my 85, does anyone know if or where I can get another one? How does it attach to the shifter?

You'll have to buy another complete shifter plate. I've never seen just the indicator for sale anywhere. Maybe a junkyard.

The stock shift plate in your '85 (like my '87) doesn't have an indicator that tells you what gear the transmission is in. The indicator showed up in later model years.

You can swap in a later model year shift plate in your '85 if you want an indicator.

What no indicator??? That sounds like crazy talk (just messing with ya) seams like it would have to be IHSS standard. Even the old old old cars have them, I wonder if there is anyone who can snap a pic of their 85 so I can see theirs is that way too????

My '86 doesn't have one but my '91 does.. Seat belts were only an option in my old cars..
