Headliner w/ Rollcage Installation-

Gonna be finally tossing the cage in the car this week since the interior is out. Anyone know if the headliner needs to be in before the cage goes in, or can it be slid over the top of the roll bar after the cage is finished?

Did a search, no luck~

I'm sure it can be done either way, but it will likely be easier to have the headliner in first.

depends on the cage. mine is as tight to the roofline as possible and you could fit the liner in after the cage. my liner was the original piece so i left it in but it was ruined when putting the cage in so now i'm in the process of redoing it.

i just moved my cage up a bit and lowered the plates on the floor before welding, leaving myself enough space to put the headliner in after installation. you don't want it in while welding, could catch it on fire.

what did you all do for arm rest mods? i was planning on leaving mine out and having my door panels redone to fill the space they left. i mean, why would you want arm rests when you have a nice steel pipe to lean on

because it's nice to have comfortable arm rests..........a cage is not comfortable and *** forbid you're ever in an accident you wouldn't want to be leaning on them.
