Paint question
Ok i have an 88 Iroc that has been in several accidents im gussing but the repairs were done right it seems that nothing is missing and what not. but i dove into this project and started sanding the paint, i want it clean real clean. well after starting stripping my hood there are 3 layers of primer and 3 layers of paint stacked! what is the fastest way to strip a car of its paint? i'm thinking sandblasting is the only way to go. what do you think?
with that much paint. what about a stripper to do the job. If i were you i would go to a body shop and ask them what they reccomend and then see if they would sell you the product they use.

**** sanding, it will take forever to get all that paint off,
Get some stripper, and first go over the hood with a DA sander and some 40 grit should do it, just to brake up the paint so the stripper will work better, then lay it on, let it sit a minute and scrape it all off, then sand the car down, prime, block, sand, prime again, until you are satisfied with the finish, tehn you are ready for paint....

i tried aircraft stripper on the hood it would only do one layer at a time. 40 grit works decent but it leaves circles from the sander when it hits metal but i got all those out. theres too many curves to even use a sander on it. im thinkingbead blasted or sand blasted
