I have a spare hood out in the garage, I took the insulation off only to see that it looks like the bracing is all there for holding louvers or blisters it just need to be cut out. ( I know I would need to put some sheet metal down then afterwards so that I'm not getting leaks or anything but, can this be done or is there something that I am missing?

the z28 hood that holds the louvers have the indentation all metaled in there, i would assume it is a diffrent skinning process at the factory and the same base frame work for all hoods. i think it may be alot of work to get the frame work in sheet metal worked out right if you just cut a hole in your sc hood.

 

The flat hoods, the IROC hoods and the Z28 (not the f/b one)hoods were all the same underneath. They all had the same bracing underneath.
