i just scored a 4th gen center consol for 20$ @ the yard and i did a search and got most of the info i need but there still some stuff i need to know, so get u all give me some help on this please.

1) is Krylon fusion the best stuff to use on painting a 4thgen console? anyone know how this stuff hold up?

2) i want to get the lighter to work on this consel, can i just run the stock lighter wires to this one?(pic below) also how the heck does the lighter stuff hold in the consel? is there a bracked? anyone have pics or info on this?? please

3) the 4thgen shift plateon this is (P RND321)
and my camaro is just a 3 speed. has anyone made a template for this?? (save me some time lol) or have some pointers?

4) the only mess up on the console is it has a burn mark from smokeing by the ash try. can i use body fill?? what can/should i use to fix this?

i dont know for sure what year its from just that i took it out of a 4thgen firebird, heres a pic of it if it help.

Looks just like the one I pulled out of a 93 Trans Am. I would guess that is the 93 to 96? center console. Do you realize that you are going to have to do a lot of work to get the auto console top to fit right? Mainly some drilling and reworking of the floorpan?

 

really, i did not know that, i figured it would go in there fine i would just have to make a new overlay oh that sucks! cant i just stick a boot on it? stupid me i see so much 4thgen centers in thirdgens being done i did not stop to think if there was a diffrence in the two

 

lol well thanks for all the help, i got all the info on searchin . im still gunna get it installed no matter what it takes. the standerd thing on a auto just look stupid plus the auto looke better. later
