Broken Driver's Seat
I have a 92 Camaro RS, with 140k on it. The car has served me well, but it's going through another round of "gimme some more new parts".
Anyway, it seems something broke in the driver's seat bottom and the thing has sunk way down. Driving it is killing my back. I tried placing foam on the seat bottom to raise it up, but the geometry isn't right and it's killing my back.
Should I look to buy a new seat altogether? Where would I get it? Boneyard or a classic-car parts place?
Should I take it to an upholsterer and have them repair/replace the seat frame springs and install a new foam kit? I would try to do something myself, but where I live now, I can't work on cars.
Does anyone know of a good place in the Philly area that either would get me a new seat and install it, or fix the problem and maybe install a new foam kit?
TIA
