How does one ship a fiberglass hood?

How does one ship a fiberglass hood?
As the subject says, how do you go about shipping something the size and bulk of a cowl induction hood in the US? It's a used piece with no box or shipping packaging of any sort..

I used a place called Southeastern freight Lines, INC here in Charlotte to send A few hoods. I paid $70 to send it but I did have a box. . Give them a call and see if they can do it without a box or maybe they have one. Their Raleigh # is (800) 222-5412
