Berlinetta current/past owners inside Please
More than a few years ago I owned a 84 Berlinetta 2 owner car. Charcoal grey with all the gold accents and etc. Compliments were daily, and plentiful. Well, a drunk driver a year later fixed all of that.
Now that I have a 4th gen rolling chassis to play around with when I'm in the garage or "dog house" spending some
time (which is also daily and plentiful btw) I want to do a sort of "retro rod" kinda thing. I want to do a Berlinetta theme in certain key areas, all while being tasteful and giving an almost factory look.
But..
I have a few holes in my memory, and I need some other Berlinetta owners to help me. Now I know charcoal grey was a factory color with this car (and the gold accents) but I have seen paint swatches recently and they dont look dark enough to match my memory. Mine was darker, and slightly metallic. From a distance some thought it was black. I know after the 12 years and 78k it drove around before me it was probably naturally repainted. But I'm wondering if they put a darker charcoal color
on there for looks, or that really was factory color and the pictures online are decieving.
I've heard of charcoal grey, dark charcoal grey, metallic charcoal grey, etc. etc. I really love the color and want.. nay, must have it on my project.
Now that I think about it, It must have been repainted as the car had a rear spoiler. The wheels were early-to-mid Z wheels that were black. The whole thing fit together well, and Ive noticed trends going the retro way lately that has now become famous with the new bug, t-bird, mustang gt, etc. etc. But I dont think Berlinetta's came with those.
Any help on the color and wheel info would be helpful.

make sure you get the pinstiping right, berlinetta had the pimpest stripes.
and you need a digital dash and funky but subtle and guage/interior matching colour audio system.

to be tasteful and keep to the 4th gen berlinetta i feel the car must have lots of power options, a quiet interior, berlinetta badgeing, the stripes, no ground effects, gold turbine rims with chrome centercaps, digital guages, funky stereo, cloth interior, quiet exhaust, and maybe a berlinetta steering wheel
