OK got the new carpet in last night, and bolted in my 96 Z seats. I had to get covers though, I think they look better Here's a couple pics, don't mind the dust, I haven't vacuumed it yet!

I took these pictures about 5 minutes ago. As you can see I'm not quite done yet. I still have to mount the back seat, and after that I have to get new door panels in as well, and do something about my old floormats! (visible in first pic) I'm waiting until I put my new doors on until I change the door panels over, no sense in doing it twice. But that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

The carpet was about $300 shipped to my door, from YearOne. It came with both passenger area and cargo area sections, and was pre-padded with insulation. I had to cut my own holes for seat belt mounting, etc. but other than that it was a perfect fit. I also got a new headliner from hawks, which came with sail panels and sunvisors, for $284 shipped to my front door. Just to give you an idea.

Carpet looks great. As for those seat covers.....

Seat covers look like they are trying to hide something...

haha... I know about the covers, they are just $20 ones I picked up from the parts store, I don't want to spend the money on really good ones just yet, I'm saving for some paint!

if the seats arent torn i wouldnt cover them but it isnt too hard to fix the seats being 96 they should be near perfect. You can always buy some fabric dye and make em nice.

They aren't torn, but the passenger one has 2 cigarette burns on the seat part, and it looks nasty. I'm getting new custom covers from hawks eventually, but until then, the ones pictured will suffice.
