Window stops...
my window goes like quarter way up and then stops. i think something is a lil tight and not letting it come up. any easy way i can fix this?
oh an its just the driver side.
it worked fine earlier the same day. but tonight it just doesnt want to come up.

The window motor might be on it's last legs. That's how my passenger window would work, go down fine but going back up sometimes would just stop. Tried it later and it went the rest of the way up.

If I remember correctly, the motor has a thermal stop (too hot = quit and cool = working), so it may be be that the window is binding somewhere. My first quess would be the felt-covered pieces at the top of the door frame. To see them, check the following thread (6th pic):

Or it could be something as simple as lubrication. I'd try all the easy stuff before I tried to replace the motor.

take the door apart use heavy grease on everything that moves and white grease on everything you cant reach. then get liquid dish soap, and pour the stuff on the rubber runchannels and on the part of the window that touches the rubber.
wet the car and roll down then up then dow then up then down etc.
i used to work on a door assembly line for an import and this is the general practice of maknig sure the parts are fit fluid when first installed
