Wow, Stock Steering Wheel Prices vs Aftermarket
I was just going through hawks thirdgen parts site, and I saw that they had stock steering wheels...
The 89 and prior wheels go for 299... while the leather steering wheel from 90 to 92 goes for 500, just the wheel itself.... what is up with these prices?
I have a 86 wheel and once I put the grant in I'll have a 90 wheel at home, I'll feel like a rich man!
Grants go for like 200 and below... why would these go for so much, any quality difference?

no... they just can charge that high.
theres not a whole lot of people selling 3rdgen steering wheels.... mostly because you can goto a junkyard and yank em off for $15....
but the people who dont want to/cant do that have to pay someone to do it... and they are the amoung the few that do.
on a side note, almost any GM steering wheel from the 70s until current fits....

There's usually a big difference between a $15 junk yard wheel and a $300 brand new GM wheel.
Finding a used wheel that's in like-new condition is very, very rare.
