My front end is torn up a bit, especially the graphics piece, it hangs really low, now.. I looked to see what was involved in taking it off, there's a rounded plastic piece that is screwed and riveted (i think) to the front ground effects piece.. I just want to take the front ground effects piece off, so it stops scraping on stuff. Would I have any problems If I left that plastic piece off, or is there another place where I would have to attach it to (instead of the ground effects piece)... I imagine it's there to control the airflow up into the radiator, but I'm not real sure.

Should I just leave it off entirely, or would this cause problems?

 

if you are talking about your air dam, dont take it off, you'll overheat pretty good, especially being the summer now

 

nah, it's not the airdam (that hangs vertically)

It attaches to the bottom of the GFX that i'm trying to take off

Here's a quick MSPaint job.. it's not the airdam, it's a slightly rounded piece that attaches somewhere, and goes to the bottom of the GFX piece

 

it's a dirt shield that you are describing... they use the plastic rivets that I believe are reuseable. If not you can pick them up at AutoZone for a reasonable price.

 

Reusable? How would I go about taking them off, so I could still reuse them?

 

theirs a little center plug on those plastic rivets.. pull the plug with pliars or something, and then they should just fall out.

 

Pliers or a flathead screwdriver should work great.... then they should just fall in your lap. Be careful though, or you will break them
