Has anyone completly removed the headlight bar from a camaro?

Mine is going away in the next couple of weeks in favor of a much, much lighter metal bar that will hold the front bumper cover instead of the now useless heavy plastic?

So has anyone else done it before?

 

yeah i've done it, its what hold the front nose piece on, it is a major pain in the ***, 2 bolts from the inside of the fender on either side is all that holds it on and where the hood latch assembly attatches to it too..good luck with it

 

sorry double post but its actually fiberglass and weighs next to nothing..i don't know how much lighter you can go without affecting duribility
