A quick question...

I just ripped my headliner out since it was spilling orange stuff (fiberglass?) all over my car and ruining my recaro seats. Anyway, in order to put my new one in i need to take off the a-pillars since its a hard-top car. how do i do this? I know its being held on by clips but how do i undo the clips w/o breaking them? Another note, I have to make holes in the new headliner to put up my overhead console right>??just making sure..

Thanks in advance, Adam

You will need to go to a parts store, or tool store and buy the tool to get to the clips. Its basically a spatula with a slit for the clip to side into. slide it inbehind the trim peice where a clip is and then pry slightly.

I beleive you are right on the console.

Before buying the tool, try a small flathead screwdriver. The first one I removed took about a minute to figure out how it came out but the rest took about 5 seconds a piece.

As for the console, you will need to cut holes in the new headliner.

Chances are pretty good they they will break anyways though. The plastic clips are pretty frail after all these years

Might want to have some spares laying around just incase.

I'm sure you already figured it out, but there is a trim panel along the rear of the headliner that needs to come down, there's the little trim pieces that clip into place above the seatbelts, and then the sun visors need to come down.
