Restoring an '84 T/a My front aero ground effects are worse off than I thought and the hood I have with the power hump is in bad shape as well. Both back corners are bent prety bad. Interior is going to get a complete redo. Now my question. Trying to deceide if I want to take the interior and body back to pure stock or maybe go with a newer style hood and ground effects. We are changing the color from brown to red and I already plan on doing the under hood stuff a little custom with lots of chrome goodies and stuff. Big part is the front aero GFX. Not sure if I could find a replacement one for it or if I should go with the nostril hood and the newer ground effects. I thought it would be cool to do the body and interior back to stock showroom condition then have something different under the hood. After the problem with the hood and the GFX I think I might be better off going with a newer, more available style.
Any opinions are appreciated.

Well I guess it comes down to what you like. As youve noticed its a real pain to get the correct 84 T/A parts. So it probably would be much easier to just switch to the 85-90 front end.
So you have to ask yourself, do you care about the car keeping its original or correct appearance? Which style nose do you like better? Most "normal" people will never notice that you swapped the noses.
What do you want, modified, stock, custom etc...
If you want stock you will have to do a fair amount of hunting for the right parts.
I for one really like the stock 84 T/A W62 front end, so I would try and keep it.

The hoods are pretty common, Since they used them on The Formula. I think they look really good all stock, IMO
