New Place to mount Switches

Not sure if this has been done before but i've never seen pictures of it on here so i figured i would post some to give people an idea. I flush mounted my cd player using a scoshe kit and it dawned on me that the top part would be a perfect place to put my fan switches. I busted out the dremel and file and got these in there in about 20 minutes. I'm ordering an electric cut out tomorow or early next week, the toggle switch and LED indicator are going to go on the right side.

What do you think?

I took this picture before i was done, all the screws are there now .
