Redid my headliner

So today I got tired of my headliner giving me a soft head-massage everywhere I went, and went to my local auto parts store and bought some of that #m Spray Adhesive (great stuff! gives a good high if you smell it too long lol).

I took it out, and ruined the trim on the driver's side above the door window (thought it was one of those push in/push out things, so i broke it off heheh, will just crazy-glue those back on later ), the headliner was in pretty good condition so i figured I'd roll with it, so I took it off completely, then that funky grayish stuff was some on the fabric and some on the fiber glass stuff, so I scraped off what I could (shouldnt have done that, it made it end up looking funky)

Well basically it turned out okay! I didnt leave it sitting there for hours like some folks suggested, but i left it sitting there unattended for about 40 minutes in the sun. Then put it back up. It looks REALLY BAD because of that grey stuff, I didnt scrape all of it off, so there are ups and downs in it lol. Next pay day I plan to go to Joanne's Fabric and buy some new fabric for it (felt if I can find it, same color)

I'll post pics if people want to see ugly headliner lol

I'm quite sick of the dangling t-top headliner in my Camaro too... pics would be sweet though.

In all honesty, you should've just left out the headliner until you could do it the right way.

It's dark out now so I'll take a pic tommorow and link it up.

I agree that I should have saved time and just done it right the first time by buying new fabric, but money is on a little crunch right now (the 12 dollar 3M Spray Adhesive cut me close, and I just got paid ! LOL)

I basically wanted functionality for the next 2 weeks till i get paid, then I shall put in some other type of material up there and cut it correctly and all that stuff. It was basically a learning experience for me today, I now know how to take out almost all of my interior heh.
