what happens when u put primmer on bare metal

I know I have seen alot of people asking is it ok to prime my car and leave it at that. Well heres what happens. I bought this car like this It was cheap rattle can primer. They said that they put it on back nov. Its looks real nasty cuz i have Rust Mort on there.

yeah i thought i took one before i put it on but guess i did not. I was so p'ed off. Also has anyone ever use that real thick yellow primmer. I think dupont makes it. Don't use this stuff everywere it was on the car was rusting under it.

yellow primer i think that was epoxy? could be wrong but i have seen it before. it all depends on prep, i doubt they did much of it. before i would flame a product i would ask what the body was like before it was applied. if they used rattle cans and left it outside i would expect alot of rust. could of just left it bare metal basically the same effect.

i can see the spots now. at least you got it early.

Yeah it is epoxy. Well this is not the first car i have bought that had it on the car. Its the 3rd and every time its the same. On this car i think who ever did the body work know what they were doing. I know alot of shops use to use that kind back in the 80s. and now they do not use it anymore.(well atleast the shops i have been in) So i think there was some kind of probs with it.
