i had someone make leather door panels for my car, and i bought black armrests. i have an 87 formula firebird and i specified that to the manufacturer. unfortunatly they have no chance of fitting, becuase my door use very large armrests, and the panels / armrests that i bought are small armrests. i'm not sure how else to explain them, the original door has a metal bracket that extends towards the inside of the car, the new panel/armrest combination looks like the armrest attaches directly to the door and there is to be no bracket. is there a way to fix this? or do i need order new doorpanels and armrests?
