Question on vehicle value
I'm not sure if this is the best place for this post. If not, can someone please move it to the correct place? Thanks
First off, let me state that this has been one of the biggest insurance hasles that I've ever been through.
Little bit of history. On July 16th, someone ran into me from behind. Didn't do that much damage: messed up the passenger rear fender, tail light and bumper. No big deal, got the guys insurance information, called on Monday. To make a long story short, they finally agreed that it was the other person's fault and that I can take in to get repaired. I had already gone to 4 other repair facilities, and they've given me quotes from $1100 on up to $1300. The insurance company had their adjuster look at it, and she gave me a quote of $600. Anyhow, after questioning that, i finally dropped my car off to get repaired.
Here's where things get screwy. I get a call from Allstate, the other person's insurance company, stating that the cost of the repairs were going to be greater than the value of the vehicle. He then tells me what is going to happen and that I'll be hearing from them next week. So, what I'm looking for would be the market value of the vehicle. Here is a list of everything that is in the vehicle:
1984 Camaro Z28, 140 mpg speedo, t-tops, am/fm cd player, automatic, 5.0 H.O. 305, disk brakes all the way around, power driver seat (no rips or tears), tilt, cruise, and a/c. From what I can tell, it is mostly original.
I'm just curious as to what the "market value" of this vehicle would be. If anyone can clue me in, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Usually they go by the KBB value. But becuse I'm bored, I'm going to do it for you... about 2500 apparently is the retail/dealer value. Good luck, and dont gtive up the fight! The KBB pricing calculator can be found at http://www.kbb.org/
