Replacing Power Window Switch
I ordered a new power window switch for my car. The only problem is that I don't really know how to properly remove the old one and install the new one. I tried a search but didn't find the info I was looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

you have to take off the console plate or shift plate whatever its called and then pop the switch off the harness they are a paint to get off but with somecareful prying they come off and then you just plug the new one in. thats what i did when i replace mine cuz the platic around the edges were broken hope that info helps you
good luck with the install
good luck with the install

OK, sounds easy enough. I have one more question though. I tried once before to take off my shifter plate but I couldn't because the shifter wouldn't come off. I took off the button and the spring but after that I don't know what to do. I think you are just supposed to pry up on it but I would like to get confirmation on this before I try it
. Thanks for the help so far.
