Dome light, ugh
So I ordered a dome light lense from Classic Industries This is the lense
When I bought the car it had no dome light in it, just an empty socket waiting for me to put a dome light in. Well I figured I could order the lense, put that there until I could find a new dome light, and no one would be the wiser... Well, I tried to put the lense on today and my overhead console's dome light housing doesnt seem to fit it (it still doesnt have a dome light, just housing)
Is it supposed to be a snap on to the dome light housing, or to the dome LIGHT? In my order form from Classic Industries they asked me if the car was T-Top or hard top, and all that other stuff, which i filled in correctly, so I would expect them to give me the correct part.
Just wanna get my facts straight before I call them up and bitch lol.
EDIT: Spelling

Your description is a little confusing, so I'm just going to tell you what's on my car, an 86 SC, which should be pretty close to your Berlinetta.
The domelight is basically four parts. The "socket" that holds the bulb is soldered to the wire and is attached to the roof of the car. Next is the plastic housing that fits around the socket which is held up by two washers on tapering pins. Next comes the bulb itself, and finally is the lens, which mounts to the housing. The only thing that physically touches the light bulb is the socket.

Sounds like you have the wrong one. The console lense is much more round then the regular one. As far as i know the console lense is discontinued.
One you need is the one on the left.

yes! the one on the left is the one that I need. Discontinued sux :-( well, it cost me about 10 dollars for S&H and the lense cost me 5 dollars, if I was to return it and pay for shipping again it would still cost me more money than i would be getting back, so I guess Im stuck with a lense that I dont need lol. Well thanks for the pic of those lenses!
