How do I pant the plastic inner fender liners??????????
I need to paint my plastic front inner fender liners. What king of paint should I use? I want a flat black that is DURABLE and wont chip or peal. Ive never really painted anything before so let me know if there is some kind of special preping or anything else I need to do before I paint them. ThanX

Why not just replace them? Last time I checked they were still availible 3 months ago. yeah it cost more but better then painting them IMO.

Pulled mine off, washed them good, scraped off any road tar, cleaned with kerosene to get all the oil and tar off. Sprayed them with gloss black Krylon paint. Seems to be lasting pretty well so far and the gloss gives the car some detail.

Froboz I'd rather try to save $$$ right now than spend $100 to replace both liners. If painting turns out like crap, then eventually I will replace them, but for now Im short on cash and would rather try something cheaper. I hate being poor.
tom3 How long have you had the paint on? I think Im going to try flat black first.
I have them all cleaned up. Had to sand off all the old undercoating. In the past whenever I tried to spraypaint plastic pieces the paint would always scratch off WAY to easliy. Is there any kind of spray primer or something else to promote paint adhesion that I should use on the bare plastic? Or a better spray paint?
Also anyone know if I can spray the undercoating that on the rest of the inner fender with Krylon? Will it stick to undercoating? Spraypaint wont eat away at the undercoating or anything, will it? Sorry im stupid when it comes to paint. Thanks
Heres a pic just to show how dull the wheel wells look. Thats why I want to paint them.

Just pressure wash them and spray them with some silicone or armor-all (the ONLY place I ever use armor-all, for the record). If you spray your tires with Tire-Wet or similar, you can use that too.

If you're die-hard for painting them, try Duplicolors Trim Black. It's "OEM correct" for the semigloss color and it is considerably rigid to the elements.. just my experience and opinion though...
As with others though... I'd start with a good cleaning 1st...
