Leather seat woes

I have some white leather seats in my firebird, but unfortunately, they are beginning to wear and fade in a few spots. Are there any products that I can apply to my seats to cover or repair the fading spots on the seats? I don't have the money to get them professionally recovered, so that really isn't an option. Someone told me to try white shoe polish, but it doesn't work well at all.
Thanks

Call around to upholstery shops; they'll have some advice.

Go to somewhere like www.leatherseats.com or even classicindustries or year one. seat covers for our cars are not that pricey.

The problem with the leather seat covers is the price. I could buy new seats for the price of the normal firebird leather seat covers. Not to mention that these are 25th edition Trans Am white leather seats. I checked out some of the prices, and the seats were cheaper than the covers. Oh well I might just try to buy some new seats. Thanks everyone

You can have the seats re dyed. Their are companys that go around to car lots and do this to the used cars. Look up in the phone book under leather or vinyl repair. If the company is good they can match the color perfect and seal it too.
