Sticky door lock
the passenger side doorlock on my car is very sticky. It's slow to open and close, I have to hit the lock/unlock button several times for it to open and close. I'm getting I'm installing an alarm system in my car and keyless entry is one of the features, which is why I want to fix this problem quick. Does one of the parts just need a little wd-40 or somthing?

Here's what you do:
1. Open the door.
2. Remove all door trim and handles, followed by the door panel.
3. Pull back the plastic sheeting.
4. Spray any AND all lock components (watch the motor!) with WD-40 or PB-Blaster.
5. Work the lock several times and open/close the door several times to ensure proper operation.
6. Spray White Lithium grease on all components after they have been loosened up (might want to do the same to the window components while in here!).
7. Reassemble door.
8. Enjoy your like-new lock operations.
Don't forget to spray some more grease on these components once a year or so to keep them free and working properly.

All I did is take a can of WD-40, poke the straw into the keyhole, and spray. Its been nice and smooth for 2 years now.
EDIT - whoops... thought you were talking about the lock cylinder being sticky. My bad.
