watch out for cops if you put a strobe into your car, they will bust you for it real quick

cops can't do **** when it comes to strobes as long as your parked...don't evne think about turning them on when your driving...and make sure you don't have red or blue ones..they dont' like them...you will always get hasseled for those...and if they were dicks they could bust you for impersonating a police officer...

go to autozone and buy them for 10 bucks. They even got the little boot cover to change the color from blue, green, and red.

The pilot ones with the boot from Autozone are not very powerful though. I ahve them and was not as impress as I thought I would be...But then again they are only 10. They look like the ones in your 2nd link. The APC with the rubber boots. The powerful ones are not the ones with the booties on them.
Example:
Vendor APC
Product Line American Products Company Strobe Lights
Finish Blue

The powerful ones are usually a colored glass type tube. If you only want to put in a pair, but want them seen in the daytime. Go for a high end glass style. They are more reliable.
Like these from you first link:
Vendor Eurolite
Product Line Toucan Eurolite Headlight Strobes
Finish Clear

very good info....

if your going to use the plastic street glow makes some of the nicer setups. i have the street glow white and red on my own. they work nice and can be seen in the day but do not compare to the glass type that are used in emergency vehicles.
