TOJAN Trans Am???

I just saw this on ebay motors. One of 250 TOJAN Trans Ams, and the only one that was white with black racing srtipes. This thing looks mean, but I think its got the LG4 or L69. Its definitely carbed. I didn't even know there was such a car....

Dont you love the lame *** excuse he uses to describe why it has a 305. "It would be ripped in half" that damn thing needs to be ripped in half if you ask me! Take the Lambo wing off and beat the fool to death that thinks that car is "The rarest Trans Am available".

Interesting....That VIN decoder thing seems a little fishy to me. That car is....intersting, but not something I'd want to own I don't think. I agree with Diabolical, I'd rather have a sweet TTA anyday, and you can find a decent one for less than what the buy it now is on this TOJAN thing lol, oh well. Someone will buy it!!

-Paul

edit: I messed w/ the vin decoder a little and I guess what they did in the eBay auction is didn't put in the last two digits of the VIN (production sequence) The rest of the VIN checks out accurately FWIW.

Here's the description; I'll make the "funny" parts bold:

"CONGRATULATIONS. YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE MOST DESIRABLE, RAREST, NUMBER ONE COLLECTIBLE MATCHING # LOW MILEAGE TRANS. AM EVER BUILT. THESE CARS HAD A LIST RETAIL OF $55 TO $65,000 DEPENDING ON HOW IT WAS ORDERED, AS THIS ONE'S GOT IT ALL. THIS IS ONE OF ONE OF 250 TOJAN TRANS. AM BUILT. OUT OF THE 250, THERE WAS ONLY ONE BUILT IN WHITE WITH A BLACK RACING G. T. STRIPE ACCORDING TO GENERAL MOTORS. I DO HAVE DOCUMENTATION ALONG WITH A PROFESSIONAL APPRAISAL STATING EVERYTHING MENTIONED.

THIS CAR HAS THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS AIR,TILT WHEEL, WOODEN FACTORY GRANT WHEEL AND DASH, POWER WINDOWS, POWER BRAKES, POWER STEERING, POWER DOOR LOCKS, GAS POWERED SUSPENSION, T. TOPS GT PACKAGE, FIBER GLASS BODY ( OF COURSE) AM FM C.D., FACTORY ARROW GO WING, WHITE LEATHER INTERIOR ( NO CRACKS RIPS ETC. ) PERFECT CONDITION. 33,000 ORG DOCUMENTED MILES. MOTOR FACTORY BUILT 305 ( I WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT USE TO BIG OF A MOTOR IT WOULD RIP THE CAR IN HALF DUE TO THE T TOPS AND LIGHT WEIGHT OF THE FIBER GLASS BODY BELIEVE ME THIS CAR IS SUPER FAST) ALSO HAS FACTORY B & M AUTO 4 SPEED SHIFTER. GT MAG RACING TOJAN RIMS. I WAS TOLD THESE CARS WERE USED IN A LOT OF MOVIES AND THIS ONE WAS IN T.V. EPISODE MIAMI VICE. ONE OF THE MOVIES STARING JAY LENO AND PAT MORITA OF KARATE KID. TO LET YOU KNOW HOW STUNNING THIS CAR IS AS PICTURED, I WAS ASKED BY THE STEEL VALLEY SUPER NATIONALS PRESIDENT, TO FEATURE THE CAR AT THERE SHOW IN OHIO, WITH FULL DISPLAY WITH MIRRORS LAYING ON CARPET TO SHOW PAINTED WHITE UNDER CARRAIGE WHICH WAS DONE IN JAN 2004 BY ME. THIS CAR WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST ATTRACTIONS AT THE SHOW LOTS OF T.V. RADIO NEWS MEDIA COVERAGE. THIS IS NOT A KIT CAR THIS IS THE REAL THING. AS STATED EARLIER I DO HAVE WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION.

DONT PASS UP THE CHANCE TO OWN ONE OF THE RAREST TRANS AM EVER BUILT.

Sooooo much comedy in such a small paragraph..... hehehehehe... those cars are jokes - Probably jokes when new, still jokes today... moreso even. No wonder people don't respect 3rdgens... the make them sound like supercars, when they're not.

something funny, i just watched the movie with jay leno, it was on actionmax tonight...and yes, there's a red tojan and a white one in the movie, it's being passed off as some new exotic car being made in detroit. What was funny though, is them saying it was capable of 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, also, the woman who was showing it off on the platform mentioned "built on an f-body chasis" etc....i think it might have been filmed at a real autoshow, lol.

Wow.. an 80's aftermarket kit that looked just as bad as the s__t music from that era sounded... go figure.

Someone on Ebay trying to pass off a smoldering pile of s__t for polished gold... go figure...

I know what it is... I just chose to block it out, much like I did to memories of K.I.T.T. when they forced him to become a poor knockoff of the Banchee in the reunion T.V. movie... Certain cars from the 80's must be forgotten. Luckily, this one is really rare and can waste away in the basement of some museum somewhere.

I wasn't saying I was particularly fond of it, but none the less it is a very rare and well kept piece of thirdgen history.. so I can respect the car, it just seems like people are a little quick to jump on things out of the norm and bash on this site..

Yea I guess the ugliness factors into why I never heard of or saw one before. I'm not a huge fan, but like what was mentioned earlier, I have respect for it. I would also definitely rather have a TTA.

I saw that car at the TA Nationals. Its not my thing, but its the only one I have ever seen in person and its a very nice example. If someone wanted a Tojan, this would be the one to buy.
