Anyone know if the inside of factory IROC-Z GFX were black or painted the same color as the exterior? Just wondering here.

 

Even though they are not Iroc-Z gfx, I got 2 brand new front 91-92 gfx peices and both of them were unpainted. Maybe the Iroc pieces were the same. I see you finally found that 87

 

Yes. Difficult to believe for sure.

What I mean is has anyone taken off their stock pieces when they got broke or something and seen what was on the inside from the factory? Same color as the outside or black/unpainted?

 

My gfx came off an IROC, they are unpainted (grey) inside.

 

Were they stock GFX though. Could have been replaced.

 

I have had my Z since it was new I will look at them later today and let you know....... its an 85 though!

I remember taking apart an 86 Iroc back when it was a year old--and the gfx were gray inside w/red overspray along the inside edges(car was red).

Mines an 85 and they are grey with body color overspray.

Sorry that took so long didn't get over to the shop til today..... anyway the inside of the GFX are a gray color and not painted you can see the over spray line about 1/2" in and I am 100% sure thats factory on my car.
