split folding to non-split folding rear seat

i have two camaros... One has a beautiful near perfect interior(the 85) and the other looks like several animals lived in it for awhile ( the 91). My 85 is a parts car, basically, so i was wondering if i could take the beautiful non-split folding rear seat out of my 85 and put it into my currently crappy looking split folding rear seat 91. Will it work or are the hinges different? I dont care about the split folding action... i'll never need to put just one side down.

They should bolt in no problem.

As LUVmy92 has said, they should bolt in with no problem. The only area where it might encounter a problem is over the hump, there are two hinge pins there for the split seats. They should not be a problem but if they are you can remove them.

if your going from split bench seats to non split bench seats then you need to remove the carpet where the center hing is and break the tack welds holding it in place, the seat will not fit properly with the center hing there.

when going from non split bench seats to split bench seats you will need to install the center hing or the seats will not work. also the split bench seats use 2 hooks one for each side and the non split uses only one on the pass. side.

other then that it all bolts in the same.

I went from split to no split seats and had no trouble with the center hinges but I cant say that will be the case on your car.

I switched to a non split from a 4th gen and had to cut the post out. I would be impressed if you could hammer it out. it is welded pretty good. I just took a cutoff wheel and cut the post out, left the little welded tabs there and put the carpet back. can't tell and fit great.
