I have a 91 z28..at first the squek was minor now its utterly annoying..i cant roll around with a camaro that sounds like its got a mouse in the back..friend of mine has an 84 and he says its the window i was curious as to whether anybody else has had this problem with thier car and if so what is the prodlem and solution thanks to whoever responds

 

Sometimes just open and close the hatch. Maybe a dab of grease on the hook where the latch catches it. Might silicone the rubber weatherstrip.

Check the rubber stops on the corners of the deck lid.Sometimes they just barely contact the body which results in a squeak.

 

Check out the little hoop that gets hooked into the latch/pulldown assembly, my sisters blazer gets it real bad on that little hoop and the camaro gets a littel squeek now and then from that jsut grease it about 2 times a month.
