4th Gen HVAC Wiring for 3rd gen
I havent seen a post explaing the wiring for wiring up the 4th gen firebird (93-96 in my case) to the third gen camaro
Fan speed switch: 4 settings (I, II, III, IIII)
3rd gen wire-----------------4th gen wire
Yellow-----------------------------Yellow
Orange---------------------------Orange
Tan---------------------------------Tan
Light Blue---------------------Light Blue
Green----------------------(conected to level switch: DO NOT CUT)
Level switch: MAX, A/C, DEF, etc.
3rd gen wire-----------------4th gen wire
Brown--------------------------Brown
Green---(conected to Fan Speed switch: DO NOT CUT)
Light Green-----------------Green/White
Rear Defog Button: Lower Left coner of HVAC Panel
3rd gen wire-----------------4th gen wire
Black------------------------------Black
Pink/Black-----------------------Brown
Purple(thick)----------------Purple(thick)
Orange(thick)-------------Orange(thick)
Vacuum line hookups:
3rd gen vac line-----------------4th gen vac line
Purple----------------------------------Black
Orange------------------------------Orange
Red-------------------------------------Red
Tan-----------------------------------Purple
Blue-----------------------------------Yellow
n/a------------------------------------Green
Green vac line just needs to be plugged with a vacum hose line plug. The only time the green will be used is if your orignal def/heat vacuum actuator is replaced with a bi-directional one.
Vaccum info courtesy of Deadbird---Thanks man!!
As of right now I just have to get a s-10 cable for the heat A/C controls and all HVAC will be functional and in working order.
I hope this helps all you future swappers out there or others that have done the swap but didn't know the wiring!
