What kind of paint for hood louver?

I painted my hood louvers a while back, i think during the winter, and the paint has already faded horribly. What kind of paint do you guys reccomend that wont fade out?

it's all in the prep work not really the paint, but... dont use cheap rattle can paints (actually even some rattle can paints might work for louvers) and you'll be ok.

I just used some flat black namebrand rattlecan stuff on mine that I don't recall, worked like a charm and hasn't faded yet, it's been at least a year.

All I did for prep was just to clean then up real good, and hit em with some sandpaper lightly before spraying on a few coats.

I used the Duplicolor Flexible bumper and trim paint on mine followed by clear. Been 4 years and they are still perfect.

Used Krylon ultra flat black, with a couple coat of clear topcoat over that. Nice gloss look without a real hard shine look, or something like that.
