Picture of bare interior. Note the two raised areas, they are the attachment points for the rear seat bottoms. The back rears attach to the sides. A total of (4) fasteners and it is pretty straight forward.

buy new carpet for the car. while you are swapping in the new seats, its a good time to do it. just dont cut the holes for the rear seats. you can also cut the tabs off for the backrest at the bend, really close. rear seats wont ever fit in the car again, but at least you wont see where they went.

that.. and there would be a really really big empty space in the back... with nothing there... if you wanted to like.. shorten your car or something it might work lol Just take them out and youll see how it looks, its like a 5 min job, 4 bolts

Does anyone have pics of just the rear seat backs removed, but the cushons still there? I think it migh look OK with just the cushons still there, as they cover up the big hole in the carpet.

IF you buy new carpet, it is not cut out for the exposted metal where the actual back buckets bolt into. Mine is like that, but I do have my rear seats in.....I can take them out and have it look like back seats are not an option, but it doesnt look as good.

Will have pics and everything soon. as you know from my tailights i used to have, i have some pretty good craftmanship, and yes it will be covered in actuall carpet not fur!!!!

You guys will be shocked and i'll stop and nothing until you are.

uhmmm.... no.. sorry, do you not remember everyong ragging on your mods before? Why are you still posting crap like this? If you wanna talk about how cool you are for making a storage compartment in your back seat that you dont know what your gonna put in it.. do it somewhere else.

alot of thinking is going on but trust me guys you'll be blown away. I wont dissapoint you.

i have 6 sheetsd of 1/8in MDf so i can mock up one. and then take real MDf to wood shop and cut it all up. The 1/8in MDf is cuttable with a razor thats why i bought it. I also have structural wood to support certain parts. I've built many things with wood before trust me. This'll be thebest. I'll finish it off with a realy nice Carpet.

EXCUSE ME??? First of all, you have wasted so much bandwidth on this forum it isn't funny. Most of your several thousand posts could have been avoided with a search button. The rest turned out to be useless and went off topic. IMO you have contributed very little if anything to these boards cuz you dont know much about cars. The only plus side here is that your posts make for some good fodder. And please D00d...change your sig!! You dont live in Kansas anymore Dorothy.

it'll be separated at certain parts. Like in the corvette the center cection was really big for the jack. But i wont make that. It'll just be a shallow stoarage area, i might even make it into a coin holder, iunno.

but i'll have too side parts that are separated and use the indentations in the floor to make thier storage. that way no matter how much stuff you got it'll still look clean.

I might even make some cup holder. Oh gosh guys, i'm on a brain storm....

Cup holder, a flat area, coin holder. Hmmmm..... this is gonna be genious guys.

And they will be lockable compartments. Like in the rear hatch i'll just use regualr door lock and cylenders. but yes this will be so good people will want to buy it.

Shane... please finish this one. I've read many of your threads and a lot of good ideas, but that ends up being all that they are.

I am rooting for ya to get this one done. I'm sure you can get it to look clean, and I'm sure you'll make it functional somehow. Do yourself a favor though and keep it a secret of what you're doing... that'll impress people a bit more

WELL ISNT THE POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK???
Since when doesn't anyone respect me? That is too funny. Learning is fine, but you show no signs of having done so. Maybe you should read what I said again. You missed the point. Get your dam prescription refilled asap and start taking your meds again. Obviously, you haven't been. Please don't swear at me with abbreviations. It's against TGO policy. Go to bed now. It's late. Good night Gracie....

well youve certianly neve rbeen nice to me.

and as for the search button.

I like to make my own thread so that people are talking to me, sure i can find out info. but if i ever have to ask something who likes bringing backa dead thread so that people have to scroll all th way to the bottom to read the latest post. I know some of you agree with me that you darn search freaks are just ignorant as to our needs. who cares about dxarn bandwidth, i'm sure the server has unlimited anyways. I can use the search button but thats before i learn a little and then i make my own thread.

trhanks and good night all.

actually yeah, cuholders is very doable. You know those $3 cuphoders that you screw down at walmart. Well i can take that apart, modify it a bit and then make it look like it came attached to this whole mod. It'd be great.

and as for the search button.

I like to make my own thread so that people are talking to me, sure i can find out info. but if i ever have to ask something who likes bringing backa dead thread so that people have to scroll all th way to the bottom to read the latest post. I know some of you agree with me that you darn search freaks are just ideots. I can use the search button but thats before i learn a little and then i make my own thread.

trhanks and good night all.
There is a good reason to use the search button Shane...when someone posts pics and info it gets stored here. Do a search to see if it has already been brought up or discussed before. When you ask for pics that someone probably has already posted, you are now asking them to post them again. Pictures take up a lot of bandwidth. Thats why you use the search button. Same applies for just getting info. It takes up a lot of space. If you want to talk to someone get a dog. I'm not trying to be funny. You can do months of searching here and learn lots of things. Then you can take what you've learned and share it with those who don't know and feel good about it.

Hey, you makin' fun of those of us that had to do the interor delete?!

I had to remove everything but the front seats in the titanic because it smelled so bad, not to mention that rust isnt my color. I personally think cars look like crap w/o the rear seats but to each his own.

No no... I'm making fun of the storage compartment. Why anyone would want to store anything in an f-body is beyond me.

I'd like to point out to everyone: Many of us get annoyed by Shane's posts and his demeanor, and while we are allowed to post our opinions of these [opinion]idiotic[/opinion] mods, it doesn't allow everyone else to call names and write words like F8ckin and ****.

Shane, do yourself a favor and start a post AFTER you have done something. If you're here to learn, use the search button, and bring back old posts. That's what they're there for. Pictures of roll cages have been posted, methods for cleaning tailpipes have been posted, even pictures of the rear seats removed and people putting amp racks or speaker walls in their place have been posted.

Give me a break, d00d!

What word would you use to describe your "creation" of the "infamous" purple fur covered 2X4?
