replacing rear quarter panels
ok so would you just have to cut out the section or are they actually separate pieces from the main body? i ask because i was looking at this body kit from ASCD. not exactly sure what would have to be done to install it.
i was also wondering if anyone here has experience with scissor doors? it kinda looks like this kit would get it the way for them.
thanks for any help.

I believe that wide body kit installs over the stock quarter panels, so it's a matter of adhering and blending into the body, not cutting is required.
As for scissor doors, I'd suggest using the search function. From what i've seen about it on here, it's very very expencive and difficult due to our door geometry and weight. Most threads on the topic turn into a circus.

hmmm interesting.
as for the doors. i was just wondering if the wideness of the kit would get in the way of them opening. but i guess that would depend on which doors you get. ill ask around those companies
thanks for the help Jeremy

I believe that those are supposed to be bolted on and then weld the seams on the two panels so its smooth. I actually think that kit might have been discontinued.. I know there were a few threads about it recently. As far as I know there still isn't a legitamate company actually making scissor doors for our cars.. and the topic seems to be flamed to oblivion on this board.
