Vent Trouble

For some reason the air only blows out of the defrost no matter where I put the ***. What could cause this?
Thanks

1. A bad vacuum connection or cracked/broken vacuum hose under the dash or where it comes off by the EGR solenoid.

2. Bad check valve where the line comes off by the EGR solenoid

3. A bad vacuum dashpot under ther dash (there are like 3-4 or so of them under there)

4. A bad heater/defroster/AC control head in your dash (the thing you use to turn on AC/defrost/heat).

That should just about cover it..... not a fun job under our minimal clearance dashes.

What should I check first?
