Need help with interior swap!

I want to add a B&M console mega shifter. I have a 1990 formula. B&M said that this shifter isn't compatable with the formula because of the center console. What parts would have I have to change in order to use this shifter and still have a clean show quality looking center console? What year parts? Firebird or camaro?
