Remodel Door Panels...
Remodel Door Panels...
In an effort to be really creative I have decided to redo my door panels. I have several questions first though:
1. What material can be used to replace the panel backing? Does anyone sell this stuff?
2. What kind of materials can I use to build shapes and designs?
3. How can I attach the designs to the backing?
4. Where can I find fabrics or materials to cover the panel?
There are probably other question, but I can't think of any now.

home depo my man, and some 1/4 inch foam, and some fabric, if you wanna get really crazy, fiberglass pannels, but thats a lot of skil involved.
I used tweed to recover my original door panels, the factory had 3 different materials and 3 different shades of grey. i wanted something clean simple and one color. then i put the factory piece of metal trim back on to give it a factory look.
But if you wanted shapes, just cut the shapes out of foam, and them glue the new fabric over the foam.

Looks good but a little to plain for me. It would be cool if it was raised in some spots. Otherwise good work.
