Car: 90 Camaro RS, 2001 Holden Calais.
90 Camaro Build Date.

Is anyone able to tell me when this vehicle was built please.
VIN # 1G1FP23E0LL100054
I know its a 90 RS model, and the low build number would indicate it was built very early in the model year, but i need to know exactly when if possible.
Any help appreciated, thanks.

More like Deductive reasoning, since September "9" 1989 would have been the first month of production for 1990. Since your the 54th camaro off the line, you can probably assume that it was made on the First Day or two of production.

I think each year is a little different for the actual day of new year production, but it almost always starts in September, with some exceptions.

VIN # Decoder?

I was just wondering how you determined the car was #54 off the line? I see the 100054, but how does that tell you?
What sequence would mine be?
1G1FP23F3ML116551

I just jacked your thread. Sorry. I was intrigued by the outcome of you query and thought I would question while I was here.

Thanks if you know. Or if you could explain how to break it down.

the last 6 digits are the production order, since his was 100054, his was 54th off the line.

yours was 116551, so your car was 16551 off the line.

hope that helped

I believe that 90 production started in August 89 and finished in Decenber 89.
All 90 Camaros were actually built in 89 i read, not sure how accurate that info is.
It was a very short production run, and only 34,000 odd built that year, and 91 model production started in early 90??
Thats why im thinking that mine may have been built in Aug, not Sept.
