4th gen swap
Alright guys...tell me if i am just bein stupid and crazy, but this is my plan...i am planning on getting a LS1 and t-56 swap in my car......but i am also wanting 4th gen interior in my car, so i was planning on buyin a wrecked 98-02 Z or SS with the LS1 and t-56 that didn't get damaged in the wreck (gonna be expensive i'm sure) then swap over all the components ie. dash console engine tranny ignition seats, all that good stuff. was wondering if you guys think it'd be easier to set that up, since i'll have all the harnesses and such to change it from a mechanical speedo to a electronic....right?
Its a pretty time consuming swap, but I agree that having a complete parts car will make the job much much easier. Nothing takes up more time than trying to track down misc little pieces.

if i do get a parts car, it'd be pretty easy to get all the 4th gen components (IE airbags heater box, etc etc) to work with no problems? wiring shouldn't be a problem at all if i use the wiring harness out of the 4th gen
