Ok I got into my car today and closed the door, my door has always shut kinda hard, but when i got out and shut it, the door didnt shut all the way. After trying to close it 3x, I got down and saw that the clamps on the door wernt clamping down on the body itself. (if this makes any since at all) I dont know if its just slowly breaking or if it was frozen. (the lock wasnt frozen) Any ideas?

 

sounds like you may have a broken hinge

 

How do i know or not?

 

open the door and look to see if you can see the main hinge seporating from the body of the car.... or look for any other twisted metal in the hinge area.... if you can take a pic of the car door so i can see ware its not shutting right.... if its up by the front of the door its prolly a hinge if its towards the door handle part it prolly not locking in right....

 

Ill try tomorrow, its dark out right now. Does this help? when i bought the car i noticed the peice the door locks onto from the car, it had black electrical tape wraped around it, why, i have no idea.
