Shifter shaft thread?
I'm almost done gathering parts for a 5sp swap. I had a custom shifter made for another ride that didnt get installed before I sold it. I am wanting to install on this car now. I never had it tapped for the old ride, so I can tap it for this one. However, I dont have any taps or dies that seem to be fitting.
Anyone know what threads this is so I can get the proper tap? Is it different per years?

16mm x 1.50 .. I found mine in a set of oilpan drainplug taps .. I had an 8 ball on my stock shifter for a while.

I just did some thinking. Are you refuring to the top of the shifter where the ball/**** goes?
I'm refuring to the connection down under the boot. I only have the bottom section of the shifter, and I'm putting this custom shaft on that.
