New parts body panels still around?
New parts body panels still around?
A guy I work with had his 87 GTA full option content hit while it was in storage in his garage. Low miles, completly original cept the tires. Mint mint mint condition. Well some drunk drove through his garage yesterday. Hard enough to move the car 3+ feet. Drove off to, the bastard.
Can you still find new parts for the 3rd gen FBody, or do you get used parts off cars from salvage yards?
Thanks

It depends . Find out what all you need, and go to a GM dealership. Sometimes the dealer will have what you are looking for, and is sometimes same price or cheaper than the resto catalogs out there--especially if you can order under a business account. Some still have parts for vehicles back to the 70's (I got a new GM balancer for a 68 Vette 327, and was the stock part that is specific to that 327) . Last time I checked, my local GM dealer could still get GM certified front/rear bumpers, hinges, and door handles (that was all I checked on).
