industrial enamel for under hood & door jams?

I'm painting my car red and have a gallon of a similiar color industrial enamel just wasting space. I know it wont hold up to exterior abuse but does any one think it will hold up in the engine compartment and door jams areas? Actually since I have a gallon I'd like to paint the entire inside of the car since I'm in no hurry. I'm trying to save a few bucks since I need a few more peices for the current swap.

depends on what kind it is, i used utech imron before to paint a 78 camaro , then sold it to my brother , one day the quater panel rusted and fell off in the driveway... the paint still looked new, some paint is okay to use and some is kinda tricky

for the amount of your labor for a paint job i would spend the extra 100 and get more of the same body paint. why have the body look great and the jambs look like crap in no time. if you don;t know what it is i would not use it on my major project. one thing to consider it may last longer than the body but if the color is a bit off as reds are very hard to match it will look like crud the entire time.

I painted a test peice with a fast dry reducer, it's only 1/2 a shade lighter then the actuall red I'm going to be using. I think it might be better to use this since the outside paint will fade down to this level in a year or so.

I dunno, I like to do things correctly but when the cash flow aint there.

Huh?
If you're spendin' good cash on the exterior why would it fade over a year's time?
If you're not in a hurry, why not save up and amass the extra greenbacks to fund the project?

Sun exposure kills nice pant jobs here in colorado. It's sad but unless you leave it in the garage 80% of the time its goes fairly fast. I probably will save up and paint it all with the same color paint I'll just have to get a single stage for the under hood and interior.
