shifter ****

How the hell do you get the factory t-5 shifter **** off. I thought it just unscrewed, but mine just spins. Any help would be great.

They are supposed to just unscrew. Mine doesn't, it won't budge even with a strap wrench on it.

It takes a decent amount of spinning, but it does spin off.
Unless the inner plastc piece is loose from the outer **** and it's spinning in it. Shoud be able to see the plastic inster piece from the bottom.. see if it's spinning with the outer piece..

in mine i had to put a pipe wrench in the shifter itself the first time as the whole assembly was spinning

Thats because the handle (shaft) threads onto the shifter. And the **** threads onto the handle.
