Cowl Hood Height = Visability
Thinking of getting a cowl hood, but concerned on the added height causing visability problems.
Who has one, what size and what problems do you have seeing?

I see no visibility problems with mine. It just takes a little getting used to. Mine sits 3 inches at the windshild and after a few weeks, I stopped noticing that it was even there.

So, if you guys were to order your hood again, would you go with the same size, smaller or bigger?

Wouldn't get that height again, no.
Aside from the fact that the car is slow, it's just too tall.
I am glad I'm out of that phase though. Arr.
If I had to get a cowl again I would get a 2-3"

I have a 4", i got it incase of future motor buildups...and would rather not be swapping hoods at that point in time. It is a little wierd in parking lots, i find myself trying to look over the hood...but driving down the road it is fine.

This was the view from the driver seat of my 83 SC with a 2½" 80-81 Z28-style 'glass scoop.
That's the top of the air cleaner visible inside the scoop.

4 inch is notta problem.. you just gotta sit up when going around a parking lot where theres curbs on turns so you dont turn too early
i think a 4inch stands out nice and isnt too high

Cervinis cowl hood on my 92 Z28. I can see just fine but it does take some getting use to at first.

I really was bothered by my SS when I put it on, but after a couple of weeks I didn't even notice it anymore. it is only 2 or so inches tall. though everyone who gets in my car thinks it is just huge.
